An eye that reads, before a hand decides.

Mirror is the diagnostic system used in every consultation at the Maison — one hundred and ninety-two anatomical points, two physicians, one quiet recommendation. It is also licensed, in confidence, by a small number of London's more considered private clinics. A reading on a sample face is offered below.

N° 03 / The Maison Method

Four movements. Every visit.

A protocol observed by every member of the house — the physicians, the diagnostic system, the aestheticians, the concierge. The same four movements, the same care, every time. It is precisely this consistency that allows everything else about the visit to feel personal.

N° 01

Twenty-two minutes, seated. No tablet, no clipboard. A pot of tea and the time to answer questions properly. Most of what matters is settled here.

N° 02

Three minutes with Mirror, our in-house diagnostic system. A reading of one hundred and ninety-two anatomical points, recorded once and held in confidence between you and your physician.

N° 03

Two physicians and a senior aesthetician convene, briefly. They agree on what is to be done, what may wait, and what shall not be done at all. The decision is collective. The bill, where there is one, is uncomplicated.

The Council

N° 04

A twenty-four-month plan, drawn to your face and to your calendar. Reviewed each quarter, adjusted as needed, and never sold by the unit. What you do not require, you do not buy.

Each is performed by a GMC-registered physician or a senior nurse injector. Each is placed within a longer plan of care, agreed upon together. None is sold by the unit.

Eleven practitioners in residence. Together, they have politely declined as many enquiries as they have accepted — for the wrong treatment, in the end, is rather worse than no treatment at all.

A few quiet questions.

The answers below are the ones we have given most often, in person, since opening on Bruton Street in MMXXIII.

How does one become a client?

By introduction, almost without exception. An existing client may name you to the concierge, who will write to invite you for a first reading. We do, on occasion, accept enquiries from those without an introduction — though we read these letters carefully and reply only when the moment is right.

Are you accepting new readings at present?

A small number, each season. The waiting list runs at six to eight weeks for a first reading, longer in spring. The concierge will tell you, candidly, when the next opening is.

What does a first visit look like?

Two hours, in studio. Twenty-two minutes of conversation over tea. Three minutes with Mirror, our diagnostic system. Eleven minutes of council, between two physicians and your senior aesthetician. The remainder is given to walking you through the proposal, in plain language, and answering whatever you would like to ask. Nothing is decided in the first visit. You are sent home with the plan in writing, to consider for as long as you wish.

Why are prices not listed online?

Because the work is not sold by the unit. A treatment plan is drawn for your face and your calendar over twenty-four months; quoting a single procedure separately would be misleading. After the first reading, you are given a written estimate for the full plan, and for any single visit within it, in figures we do not vary.

How does Mirror work, in practice?

Mirror is the diagnostic system used in every consultation here. It reads one hundred and ninety-two anatomical points across the face in approximately three minutes, then proposes a treatment direction, which is reviewed by two physicians before being shared with you. It is a proposing instrument, never a deciding one. Your photographs do not leave our premises; they are not used to train the system without your written consent.

May I bring a friend?

Of course. We have, on most days, room for one quiet companion in the waiting lounge, with a pot of tea ready when you finish. We ask, only, that telephones remain in pockets while readings are conducted.
